Wow where did the time go?

As the title says, where did those couple of months go?  I know its been a busy few months working for at my full time job and spending a fair amount of time away, but I never thought it would fly by that quickly.  So just a little flavour of what has been going on outside of the full time job; back in January I popped along to the SWPP convention up in London to take a look at what is going on within the industry and catch up with some old friends which is always a great way to start the year.  I have been along to a number of photography training events and of course helping out The Photographer Academy team at the Photography Show last month up at the NEC which was a great event.

Something new I had never been to before was the Gadget Show held again at the NEC earlier this month where once again I helped out on The Photographer Academy stand.  This was a very different show for us but it was full of surprises, the Beautiful Beast below is a character from a game and she came and had a photo session with us during the show, an outstanding costume and she was just one of many.

I have been working on a new style of signature image for my photography business, a classic Boudoir photography genre but all in Black and White to enhance that classical feel, my name for this beautiful creation is BoudNoir.  Below you will see a couple of images from session I have conducted to date.  The emphasis is Sensual, Seductive Stunning, keeping the images as voyeuristic as possible for that classical look with the black and white approach giving it that timeless appeal.

Into the New Year

Welcome to a belated New Year update, it's been a busy start to the year within my day job as well as my Photography side.  The most prominent event this month was the trip up to London to visit the SWPP convention, in particular the trade show event.  This event is held every year by the SWPP and has a huge training program where new and aspiring photographers, as well as seasoned professionals can meet up and attend various lectures and discussions, as well as just socialising with like minded individuals.  It is the first major event of the year, allowing manufacturers to show there latests gadgets, software, toys and display items as well as informing the future markets of what is available to offer to their customers.  Held over several days, it's a great way to just start the year with new or refreshed ideas of what you can offer your clients.  It's also a great social event for those staying in the area for the duration.  The next big event is The Photography Show held up at the NEC the first weekend in March.  I will be working on The Photographer Academy stand if you are up that way.
